Along the beach will be Snook. These are big fish that eat about anything. Use medium action spinning tackle so you don’t wear them out. One of the best baits is a Night-glow DOA Shrimp. Use flouro carbon leader tied to your main line.

Also 1/8th oz white jigs, and minnow imitations work well. Just remember the fish feed in the waves which are just a couple of feet off the beach. Don;t cast straight out, cast Parallel to shore and fan out a bit. Try Looking for fish when the sun gets up after 10 am.

Sand fleas can be caught in the beach sand and make good baits too. Just use them on a small hook with a little split shot.

At night top water lures will also draw some great strikes from Snook, trout and Tarpon, all from the beach.

If you wade in the bay, you can use similar tactics, go to this website for more info. http://forums.capmel.com/
