What are some baseball training and conditioning exercises that you know?

Question by Swartz: What are some baseball training and conditioning exercises that you know?
I’m trying to make my baseball team this year and I need some training/conditioning exercises that can help me get back into shape.

Also what are some pitching speed enhancement exercises that I can do to improve my pitch speed? If you have any methods for throwing a slider and change up those would be greatly appreciated.

Please help me make the team!

Pepper is a great game to play. it develops hand eye cord. and forearm exersises. stong wrist and forarms will increase your power.
Running and leg workouts will increase your pitch speed, and throwing waterlogged baseballs will help your arm
Throw a good slider like a football, place your middle finger on the edge of the horseshoe on the ball, and put more pressure on the middle finger then the index. at first it will move like a cutter till you get the feel.
A good change can be thrown just like a fastball but use 3 fingers on top of the ball.

Pitchers come in all sizes and shapes. Some are very healthy, hard working players that barley make their squad. While others are just the opposite yet pitch very well. Here’s the secret to success as a pitcher…..Leg Strength!
Throw to keep your arm and body loose but work the legs. Running, squats, leg press, lunges.
You can test this theory by throwing from a standing, kneeling, and sitting position….The less you use your legs less power you have.

As for field throwing….do you throw off your back foot? Try a “crow hop” a few times it forces you to plant the back foot giving you power and accuracy. I promise you’ll see results!

    Good luck. You’ll do fine.
